Ford chooses Carer for its new plant in India
Carer’s quality is recognised all over the world by excellences in any productive sector: this is the reason why Ford chose Carer for the construction of five high-capacity electric forklift trucks for its new plant in Sanand, India.
Carer developed, produced and delivered five high capacity machines for the newly operational Ford plant in Sanand, which is expected to produce more than 440 thousand vehicles and 600 thousand engines starting from 2015.
The forklift trucks provided have been projected and realised with ultra-elastic tyres in order to allow for both indoor and outdoor usage. The trucks are provided with a high-capacity battery (120 V 1550 Ah), assuring long operation time. The battery features a special extraction system and a hydraulically liftable protection for the driver. This allows operations of inspection, check and topping of the battery to be carried out easily and autonomously even by a single person.
The great advantage of the trucks provided, though, is their high capacity, ranging up to 16 tons with a 600 mm CG. Astounding data for an electric forklift truck, making Carer one of the few manufacturers to be able to develop high capacity machinery running exclusively on AC.
