Carer delivers tailored fleet solutions for a leading player in the aluminum industry
Thanks to its personalized approach and formidable technological capabilities, Carer has successfully completed a significant contract. Let's delve into the details in this article.
In the hinterland of Milan, major players in aluminum production, rolling, and recycling are thriving. This sector of heavy industry demands highly diverse and challenging material handling solutions: whether indoor or outdoor, serving production or logistics, the handling necessitates equipment ready for any production application.
Recently, Carer has partnered with a major player in this sector, which operates with two facilities in the Lombard capital. The usage requirements varied significantly, ranging from managing raw aluminum that converges into special furnaces where it's transformed into coils – thin aluminum sheets subsequently formed into coils or rolls – to the loading and unloading of goods. This contract underscores the significance of compliance as an element that can make a difference: heavy industry demands an extra level of scrutiny, particularly when it comes to safety.
Customization and Power: Carer's Formula for Success
Carer successfully met such a diverse range of needs with a fleet of 15 vehicles: 12 of these, equipped with a 5-ton nominal capacity for agile applications, and 3 with a capacity of up to 16 tons for the most challenging loads. The three vehicles, A 160 S models, were equipped with what is technically termed a "nose": a specially engineered solution for the partner, allowing the forklifts to handle very heavy loads with increased efficiency and safety in lifting and handling operations, such as large aluminum coils.
