Carer Enters the Australian Market: Partnership with Komatsu Forklift Australia
Carer's international growth journey expands with its entry into the Australian market through a new strategic partnership with Komatsu Forklift Australia Pty Ltd, a leading name in industrial materials handling and, as of this year, official dealer of the Italian brand in Australia. The first product range launch events were held in Melbourne and Adelaide.
Carer enters the Australian market through a strategic partnership with Komatsu Forklift Australia Pty Ltd – a reference player in industrial materials handling solutions across the country – for the official distribution of the Italian brand.
To ensure the highest standards in Australia, Carer has chosen Komatsu Forklift Australia Pty Ltd, part of the global Komatsu group, founded in 1921 and operating in more than 150 countries with 66,000 employees. A strategic partnership that provides Carer with a solid structure, present across the territory with more than 10 direct branches and service centres, and backed by over 60 years of legacy. A synergy that delivers premium integration to the logistics, manufacturing, port and production sectors: from sales to rental, through to outstanding aftersales support and maintenance services.
The debut of the Carer Range on the Australian Market
The Carer electric forklift range was officially presented to the Australian public at the Melbourne Branch Open Day on 22 April and the subsequent Adelaide event on 20 May, marking the first direct contact with customers and industry operators.
A launch that arrives at a favourable moment: the Australian market is recording growing demand for electric solutions, driven by rising fuel costs and an increasingly concrete push towards zero-emission operations. Australian companies are actively seeking more efficient alternatives – and Carer brings fifty years of specialisation in precisely that segment.
During the events, the Carer range took centre stage: developed to meet the demands of high-intensity applications through a fully electric offering with capacities of up to 20 tonnes at a 1,200 mm load centre. The product portfolio spans the A Series for heavy-duty applications, the B Series for fully matching the performance of internal combustion equipment, the K Series dedicated to container handling, the R Series for versatile use, and the Z Series for confined spaces. All designed to deliver high energy efficiency, reduced maintenance costs and silent operation.
Market response was immediate: initial enquiries from sector operators were already received in the margins of the events. The Australian market debut represents a further step in Carer's international growth strategy and confirms the central role of electrification in the innovation processes of industrial materials handling.
