Anything but an ordinary year: Carer's 2023 is a success beyond every obstacle
In 2023, Carer thrived with growth, achievements, prestigious partnerships, and innovation. It was a year brimming with pure intensity. The foundation for their success, as always, lay in teamwork and human capital.
In 2023, Carer experienced a year that defied the ordinary, even by the standards of a company accustomed to pushing itself—through innovation and pursuit of excellence—beyond every limit. The company and its team encountered extraordinary challenges, forging opportunities of paramount significance, showcasing unwavering resilience and remarkable unity in the face of adversity.
The realization that 2023 wouldn't be an ordinary year emerged right from the start. On January 16th, a highly significant anniversary was celebrated: the decade since the Spreafico family's entry into the group. Although the brand was born in 1976, it was only in 2013 that the current management took the reins. Ten years of expansion that skillfully integrated the Spreafico family's three-decade expertise in service with Carer's profoundly manufacturing-centric know-how.
"In regards to Carer's product-oriented culture, we've successfully brought expertise in areas such as pre and post-sales, commercial distribution, and customer support," stated the owner and VP Luca Spreafico.
Innovation and global project
Carer's 2023 was also marked by product launches that garnered significant international attention for the brand. This includes the A 55-60-70 SC, a long-awaited handling solution—compact, maneuverable, designed for indoor logistics, and perfectly suited to replace thermal equivalents. The new line was unveiled at LogiMAT 2023 by the Global Sales Director, Antonella Ghini, with a concept entirely dedicated to the renowned German trade fair.
Carer forklifts, thanks to an extraordinary global commercial network, have not only lifted a diverse range of loads but also elevated the reputation of Made in Italy in the worldwide handling market. The prestigious collaborations and case studies are numerous: from the Italian Air Force to KLM, from NASA to entities active in port and railway logistics. A common thread of industrial excellence that has connected the Netherlands to the United States of America, Scotland, Carer's native Italy, and the Iberian Peninsula. This corporate reality is increasingly envisioned on a global scale year after year
Emerging from adversity. Stronger than before.
However, everything starts from the headquarters in Cotignola, in the Province of Ravenna, the heart of Carer's innovation and production. And it wouldn't be possible to talk about the successes we've just mentioned without revisiting the dramatic days in May when Emilia Romagna was hit by one of the most powerful floods in decades.
At the beginning of the month, the simultaneous overflowing of various rivers led to flooding at the company headquarters, posing a risk to both production and operational/administrative areas. With the help of the staff, the support from the Unicar team, who rushed from Lombardy, and a network of trusted local suppliers, Carer emerged from the mud in record time, restoring production lines in just five days.
Innovation, competitiveness, and excellence are primarily built through the contribution of human capital and cohesive teams. Precisely at the most critical moment, Carer was able to overcome difficulties thanks to their incredible work and complete adherence to the company's mission. Armed with this awareness, the company enters 2024 with even more determined ambitions than those that would typically accompany the end of an ordinary year
