Autonomy and flexibility: Carer’s corporate philosophy

Since its inception in 1974, the company has always differentiated itself from its competitors for research on battery performance and its flexibility, focusing decisively on special machines and on the customization of each individual model according to customer needs.

Over the course of its history, Carer has developed its mission with determination: to bring electric forklift trucks to replace diesel machines, while at the same time guaranteeing sufficient battery autonomy to carry out at least one complete work shift, while maintaining the same performance high of the best lift trucks driven by internal combustion engines.
“High performances require high current absorption – says Luca Spreafico, Carer's managing director – Without adequate studies, we would risk privileging very high performances at the expense of autonomy. For these reasons, we have always focused our technological research on energy tanks (batteries) and components, in order to ensure that the characteristics of our trucks were of the absolute avant-garde”.
In Carer laboratories, they are working to give the batteries of electric trucks levels of autonomy comparable to those of the tanks of internal combustion machines, always maintaining an identical level of performance. More advanced research is conducted on new variable reluctance motors, which allow maximum efficiency with minimum consumption, and on lithium batteries.

The strength of the company also consists in its propensity to understand the needs of customers for the different applications, to study a specific product, suitable to satisfy fully their requests. Unlike competitors, which generally have only one type of truck for each range, Carer therefore designs machines with different characteristics on the same flow, to modulate precisely its production offering by providing suitable handling tools for each of the necessary applications.
Therefore, Carer's research aims at studying with the customer the specificity of the application that he must perform, in order to develop a product specifically designed for that particular use. A feature that significantly differentiates it from competing companies, which supply only standardized machines, not tailored to the various specific needs. The same machine cannot in fact be adequate for use in profoundly different sectors.
