Z 55 H2 SPED: power and ergonomics for automotive

Carer Forklift, the leading manufacturer of full-electric forklifts, has designed a customized solution for the production plants of a big player in the automotive industry.

Carer Forklift boasts decades of experience with the automotive industry, a sector which places peculiar and very tight handling guidelines. The facilities, often labyrinthic, are patterns of long aisles: the driver is forced to think every movement within a tolerance of a few centimetres and must be able to rely on compact machines, equipped with an incredibly small turning radius and ensuring high capacities.

The background

It was with these demands that a major player in the sector approached Carer Forklift: the factories receiving this order - where 3 t trucks were in use - needed a more powerful and versatile solution to cope with increased load requirements. Hence, the birth of the special project that led to the Z 55 H2 SPED: yet another proof of the extraordinary adaptability of the Cotignola engineering department, which is always able to work out tailor-made solutions with efficiency and creativity. As is often the case in these situations, the SPED department, which we have already mentioned here, made use of the vast line of standard vehicles, identifying the Z 70 H2 as the engineering base to develop the required customizations.

Z 55 H2 SPED: maneuverability, comfort, power

Z 55 H2 SPED meets the compactness requirements demanded by the customer: it measures 1230 x 2770 mm, and benefits from an astounding turning radius: 360° that allows complete rotation in aisles measuring just over 5 meters. Powered by a 96 v, 160 Ah battery, the forklift is in accordance with Carer Forklift's philosophy and perfect for indoor use, operating in complete silence and without emissions. The rated capacity of 6 t doubles the load capacity of the current fleet available to the customer, providing operators with first-class comfort equipment. To cope with the need to work mainly in reverse, Z 55 H2 SPED has been equipped with a rotating seat up to 45°, rear camera and dual pedals: options that make all the difference in handling operations that would otherwise result in considerable postural strain for the forklift driver.

The installation at the production site is scheduled for the beginning of March: specialized Carer Forklift's technicians have already arrived on site to deliver specific training on the use of the machinery, proving the ability to design customization paths that integrate research, pre and post-sales into a single sharing platform.
